Selling the Domain to the Buyer

Getting the domain to the buyer is one of the important steps to buying and selling websites. As soon as both parties agree on the sale prices and the payment methods, this happens to be the next important step in the process. In addition, the concerned parties should also decide upon the hosting arrangement of the website. There are two major options available with the seller at the time of getting the domain to its buyer. They could either make the domain push or then make the domain transfer.

Selling the Domain to the Buyer

Domain Push

All those who have tried selling a website before would be familiar with the domain push process. This is by far one of the most preferred ways to get the domain to the buyer. At the time when the seller says that he is going to "push" the domain, then it would simply mean that he is transferring the ownership of the domain with the same registrar. Such a process can only happen if the buyer as well as the seller has an account with the same registrar. There are several benefits to the process since it is easy, free and there are no waiting periods involved.

Domain Transfer

The seller would have to make a domain transfer in case if the buyer has an account with a different registrar. This process is not really used as much since it involves a transferring fee and there is a waiting period of 60 days in the process. In case if the seller's registrar is not reputable enough, the buyer may perhaps mandate the transfer process.
